Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 21, 2026

Thank you for using Curatyze. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple — we're not in the business of selling your data.

Information you give us

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password. If you fill out your profile, we also store your display name, bio, website URL, and avatar. Content you create — collection titles, descriptions, curator notes, and product images — is stored and associated with your account.

Simply put: we store what you type and upload.

Information we collect automatically

When you use Curatyze, we automatically receive some technical information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and how you interact with the platform. We use Vercel Analytics to understand overall usage patterns — this data is aggregated and not used to identify individuals.

Simply put: standard web traffic data. Nothing creepy.

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To display your public profile and collections
  • To send account-related emails (verification, password reset)
  • To detect and prevent abuse or fraud
  • To understand how the platform is used so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Simply put: we use your data to run the service. That's it.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (like dark mode). We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work correctly.

Simply put: cookies keep you logged in and save your settings. No ad tracking.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate Curatyze: Supabase handles our database and authentication, and Vercel hosts the platform. Both are bound by confidentiality obligations and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

Content you mark as "public" — your profile, public collections, and curator notes — is visible to anyone. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Simply put: your public content is public. Otherwise, your data stays with us and our infrastructure providers.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period. Some information may be retained longer where required by law.

Simply put: delete your account and your data goes away.

Your choices

You can update or correct your profile information at any time from your settings. You can delete your account by contacting us. You can also request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@curatyze.com.

Simply put: you're in control of your data.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Simply put: we take security seriously.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Curatyze after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
